The Abilities Center is a provider of physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech-language therapy, psychology, and educational tutoring. Our expanded, new state-of-the-art facility offers a variety of programs and services designed to enhance child's abilities. We provide individual services, enrichment classes, summer camp and intensive therapy services. The Abilities Center specializes in the treatment of Autistic Spectrum Disorders, Sensory Integration Dysfunction, speech and language disorders, and physical disorders.

Occupational Therapy Assistant
Occupational Therapy Assistant Associate Degree Students in the Occupational Therapy Assistant program are educated to apply occupation as a means to effect positive, measurable change in health status and functional outcomes of clients. Occupation is the means through which a client achieves therapeutic goals for maximum independence and life satisfaction. Throughout the freshman and sophomore years, Occupational Therapy Assistant students are required to complete various Field Modules in community human service organizations as a part of their OT coursework. These experiences comprise the Fieldwork Experiences Phase I portion of their education. Following the didactic portion of academic work, students are required to complete a minimum of twelve (12) weeks, full-time, Fieldwork II Experience. Upon successful completion of the Fieldwork II requirements, a degree is conferred and the student then becomes eligible to take the Certification Examination to become a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant. Occupational Therapy Assistants must abide by licensure/certification or employment requirements in the state in which they wish to be employed.
